A Victorian terrace in Barnes, West London, reimagined as a layered and expressive family home. The original architecture provides the backdrop for a more contemporary approach to colour, pattern and material, creating an interior that feels considered without becoming overly formal.
The studio approached the house as a sequence of connected spaces, allowing colour, pattern and texture to move naturally from room to room. Playful motifs sit alongside softer tones, richly tactile materials and bespoke elements, bringing warmth and individuality to the Victorian architecture.
Throughout the house, sculptural furniture, crafted finishes and carefully considered joinery create moments of contrast and personality. The balance between original architectural character and contemporary interventions gives the home a sense of cohesion while allowing each room to develop its own identity.
